Excursions on the Island of Taha'a

The island of Taha'a is simple and lush. The mountains, which includes the highest peak in French Polynesia, are covered in green vegitation. It is home to vanilla farms, coconut farms, taro fields and pearls farms, which looked like tree-houses perched on stilts in the middle of the ocean. The people are warm and happy living off the bounty of the land and sea that surround them. Our trip through the island took us past coconut dryers, vanilla fields, wonderful and rich food, and many spirted and jolly locals.
